The Oasi

Welcome to Oasi Case Ghirardi, an idyll hidden away in the heart of a nature and wildlife reserve in the northern Italian region of Emilia Romagna.

About an hour’s drive from the city of Parma lies Ghirardi, a 600-hectare nature and wildlife reserve.

Four of the houses are on top of a hill, giving a breathtaking panoramic view of the whole reserve, while the fifth is by a picturesque stream on the edge of the forest.

The wardens Dario and Elena live on site and will welcome you upon arrival and assist you during your stay.

Whether you’re relaxing on your terrace or walking one of the several trails that cross the woods, you’ll be able to admire free wildlife such as fallow deer, roe deer, wild boars, foxes and hares, as well as a rich variety of flora.

Oasi Case Ghirardi offers you the opportunity to spend a peaceful vacation in one of five gorgeously restored stone houses surrounded by pristine nature.

The reserve is managed by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), who ensure the preservation of this natural paradise and also offer guided tours and workshops to everyone interested in learning about the nature and history of Ghirardi.

Oasi Case Ghirardi has been run by the same family for generations. The historic houses have been restored and furnished with care, maintaining the charm of tradition while offering all the comforts of modern living.

Every house is fully equipped for short or long holidays and has high-speed WiFi. Solar panels provide part of the electrical energy and power a charge point for electric vehicles.
